The story of how Maryland native Jimi and Maryland transplant Brent fell in love began in 2022 when Jimi had the courage to post her funny travel story to Pittsburgh on a dating site and caught Brent's eye. What started as a few comments quickly turned into daily conversations, endless laughs, and a connection neither of them expected. One day, while texting, Jimi mentioned to Brent that she was going to a farmer's market close by and Brent revealed he'd never been to a farmer’s market or Baltimore before. Shocked, Jimi invited Brent to join her.

On December 3rd, 2022, Brent made the drive to meet Jimi for the first time. To their surprise, the connection they felt over the phone translated over to their date: laughter, fun moments, and a genuine curiosity of each other. From then, Jimi brought Brent into new experiences and a culture he didn't know existed.

He drove over an hour weekly to visit her, until the day he made the decision to move 30 minutes outside of Baltimore just so he can be closer to Jimi. From then, spending time together became easier — from celebrating holidays side by side to joining family outings and building a life together. What began with a funny story and a simple message became something neither of them could imagine living without.
